Abstract: The development momentum of Guangxi is positive, with unlimited potential and promising prospects. However, due to various factors, Guangxi's comprehensive strength is not strong enough, and its development level is not high enough. It is a major issue for Guangxi to serve and leverage the national strategy to promote high-quality economic development. General Secretary Xi Jinping proposes a series of important instructions such as “emancipating mind, innovation, promoting ocean-oriented economy, open development,” and building a strategic hinterland for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area when he inspects Guangxi from December 14th to 15th, 2023. These are major strategies for accelerating the development of Guangxi. It is an important aspect of thoroughly studying and implementing major strategiesto strive to create a chapter of the Chinese path to modernization in Guangxi based on the reality of Guangxi. According to the requirements of precision, practicality, and efficiency, actively integrating into the “Belt and Road” initiative and playing a greater role in the “Belt and Road” construction, fully connecting with the Greater Bay Area are the driving forces and countermeasures for strengthening and expanding Guangxi’s comprehensive strength. The paper argues that Guangxi should fully connect with the Greater Bay Area from 12 aspects, such as ideology, strategy, and industry in the present and even in the future, and correspondingly propose twelve countermeasures and suggestions, such as seeking novelty, advancement, and connection.
